http://www.geocaching.com/  Geocaching is like a treasure hunting game all over the world using a GPS.
We went to 3 or 4 different places looking and we only found 1 but it was really exciting!!

Happy Holidays!

Christmas was a bit different this year. I spent it without any of you in Korea. I did call mom and open some of my presents she sent me over the phone. She was sleeping when I called so Im not sure how thrilled she was to be sitting there listening to me open them at 1am her time...but the time difference of 14 hours makes it hard to always call at a normal time. On Christmas eve I went into Seoul and had a christmas buffet dinner with some of my Dangjin friends and one of their groups of mostly South African friends. There was loads of food and the chef made me something special since I am a veggie. They made me this yummy lasagna type thing and we had eggnog! We did a yankee swap as well. I got new headphones for my ipod which was good because I really needed some! That night I stayed with Nick and Nat at their friends house who were away. We watched "Elf" and went to sleep. The next morning we took the bus back to Dangjin to get ready for Christmas. We invited people from Dangjin to celebrate Christmas with us. There was about 10 of us. We made lots and lots of food and desserts! We made mulled wine too...we had so much food people were really stuffed..like they should be on Christmas! I drank a bit too much mulled wine, it was delicious! I also taught everyone how to play dreidel. They loved it...it was  a lot of fun....we played with little chocolate candies.

Fire fire fire

Due to the fact that Im an idiot....I almost lit my entire apartment building on fire last night! Okay....it could of happened if I didnt come back in time but luckily there fire didnt escape the pot in started in. Heres the story. I was boiling about 3 pounds of chicpeas in a big pot of my stove so I could freeze them and have just a little when I want them. I never had tried making so much at one time but I figured it wouldnt be any different. I know this is a bad idea but I do it all the time..when I left for yoga (1 hour class) I left them on the stovetop simmering at an extremely low heat. I have a gas stovestop. Anyway....by the time I walked into my building I could smell this terrible stench of what I thought was some really foul smelling Korean food from a different apartment and it was smoky. After complaining to myself about the stink I opened my door to come to the realization that it was my apartment that stunk! My entire apartment was filled with smoke and the chicpeas were on fire! I put the fire out and opened all my windows to try to get rid of the smell. There are no smoke detectors so nothing went off. I had just washed all my laundry the night before so all my clean things were terribly stinky again! The whole pot is burned and the chicpeas are like soot in the pot now! Needless to say I couldnt sleep in my house so I stayed at a friends house and left all my windows opened. When I came home this morning the house still stunk and now Im at work and I can just smell this aroma of burned grossness on my clothes : (

At least I didnt catch the building on fire....

December Sing and Dance Contest

Another month and yet again another sing and dance contest. Ocean class sang Must Be Santa and won of course and Orchard class attempted to sing Rudolph...it was not their best performance but I did make them reindeer antlers to wear which were the most impressive part of the whole performance.
