So as you know, one of our Korean co-teachers quit which means more workload for the rest of us. I got the worst of it, ended up with most classes and Dom got lucky. He lost all his kindy classes so he gets to come in late to work and just teach elementary. I like teaching my kindy kids, but it would be nice to get to sleep in and work less hours! Since our manager is quitting as well…our schedules will probably not last very long this way so Im not going to complain too much! Nothing seems to be consistent at school. Its hard teaching because kids start and quit school so frequently you never know whats going on. This is because the sad truth about hogwons is that is all about making money and not teaching. We all try our best though! I now teach two kindy classes, one class of first year 7 year olds and once class of 2nd year 6 year olds. I have a strange feeling things are going to progressively worse at school unfortunately because of all the internal turmoil and changing of management and not having a lot of money…..but nothing has really happened yet so we can only hope it gets sorted out with no problems! Wish me luck!
On a happier note, today we celebrated our June Birthdays, which is only three students; Janet, Erica and Kevin. We did the usual birthday activated and had cake and fruit.
